With the use of suitable water pressures / lances combined with chemicals and brushes we can clean all types of surfaces. All our pressure washing machines are petrol driven, for the water supply we can either use stand pipes / hydrant points (obtaining licences from the major water suppliers as required ) or we can supply towed water bowsers.

For access we are IPAF trained operators and can use self propelled articulating booms (cherry pickers) or scissor lifts depending on the requirement.

More and more companies are realising the necessity for training, indeed many sites will not allow personnel to operate any form of equipment without the required training and relevant qualifications. As holders of IPAF Powered Access License (PAL) we have qualifications awarded by an international recognized body.

INDUSTRIAL / CAR PARK CLEANING

Many industrial parks have been paved using block paving, which looks fantastic on new complexes. Clean parking bays 'set off' the units', This benefits the employer by providing a safe parking area for employees and creates the right image to attract potential customers.

After installation it is very rare for the paving to be sealed by the contractor, often due to costs. With very little maintenance being carried out on the car park, the area soon starts to look worn and tired and paving blocks become dirty and often slippery as weeds and moss establish themselves.

At Great Outdoors & In not only do we clean your paving we can offer a complete refurbishment service, whatever the size of the installation, the process is the same.

1. The area is thoroughly swept to remove loose debris.
2. Any stains are treated with the application of suitable chemicals.
3. The area is meticulously pressure washed using a Rotary washer connected to a High Pressure washer (3000psi/200 Bar) this method of pressure washing removes a small amount of jointing sand and any moss, weeds, algae, lichen, dirt and grease.
4. After the area is cleaned, it is treated with an industrial herbicide (weed killer) to eliminate any remaining weeds and roots. We hold NPTC PA1 & PA6A licenses to apply pesticides, which is a legal requirement for any contractor or operator working with pesticides / knapsacks.
5. Once the paving is dry the area is re-sanded using kiln dry silica sand and vibrated (compacted) back into the joints.
6. Finally, you have the option of sealing the paving. The sealer we use is called PIC-SEAL this is a heavy duty industrial sealer designed to enhance block paving. Not only will it penetrate and protect the blocks from future staining but it hardens the jointing sand, helping to inhibit weed growth.

If required we can lift and relay sunken or damaged areas of block paving and even add additional drainage.

Note: All debris will be removed from site.

LITTER PICKING / LEAF COLLECTION

Using the latest machinery from vacuum backpacks (ideal for cigarette ends, an increasing national problem!) to walk behind self propelled vacuums we can collect all types of debris quickly & effectively, from any type of lanscape including grassed & hard surface areas. The litter picking / leaf collection programs can be arranged to suit the sites requirements from one-off site cleans to weekly collections.
