At Great Outdoors & In we use the latest industrial variable speed scrubbers / polishers, and wet or dry vacuums, to strip, seal, polish / burnish and spray clean all types of flooring, restoring your floors to their original glory.

Typical list of operations for cleaning a tiled floor
1. Dust mop flooring using a dry 'microfibre' flat mop.
2. 'Tape off' bottom of doors / kitchen units to prevent water ingress. If necessary cover any carpets or soft furnishings likely to be effected.
3. Prepare suitable chemical to clean (strip) surface depending on material type which is being cleaned, usually a high alkaline solution. This may be spray applied or machine fed from machines solution tank.
4. Commence stripping the edges first. Scrub using edging tools and hand tools as required, paying partcular attention to the corners.
5. Scrub the remaining flooring using low speed rotary machine.
6. Remove slurry using wet vacuum.
7. Repeat operations 5-6 until satisfactory results are acheived, apply particular attention to the grouting as well as the tiles.
8. Rinse floor using an acidic solution to neutralise stripping agent, solution is applied using a damp 'microfibre' flat mop
9. Dry area using an air mover.
10. Once dry (This may be within an hour or several days later depending on the flooring) seal if required, using a water based seal applyed by a 'microfibre' flat mop for even coverage.
We can then continue to maintain the flooring at an agreed price Or if required provide yourselves with the necessary equipment to maintain the flooring yourselves.
We can sell you the most suitable chemicals - maintainers for your flooring type and the 'microfibre' flat mopping system to ensure you are using the best possible method to maintain your newly refurbished flooring!
The flat mops are supplied with a telescopic handle & base and are made out of aluminium for its durability & lightness. The dust and damp mop heads are attached to the base plate via velcro stips for ease and are fully machine washable up to 90 deg c and are also guaranteed that they can be washed over 300 times!
The dry mop will also help to preserve hardwood and tiled floors and reduce the wear and tear on waxed surfaces caused by vacuum cleaners and best of all its effortless and so simlpe to use!!
