Pattern Imprinted Concrete (PIC) looks great after installation. However, as with other paving, wind and rain over time can make your once proud driveway look very tired. PIC paving needs regular maintanence to maintain its appearance and prolong its life.
PIC paving should be cleaned and resealed at least every three years. The reason for this is quite simple: over time the final seal on the paving can be eroded, and once this has happened the tinting or colouring applied to the concrete is exposed to wear. If maintenance is not carried out, the process to retint a PIC driveway can be extremely costly.
At Great Outdoors & In we can carry out this vital maintenance to protect your investment. Services offered include washing, re-mastic, stripping, tinting and sealing, Please contact us for a FREE SURVEY / QUOTATION.
Re-Sealing Process
- The area is swept over to remove any lose debris.
- Any Stains / chewing gum are treated with the application of suitable chemicals.
- The paving is meticulously pressure washed using a rotary washer / pressure washer (3000 PSI / 200 Bar).
- Once the paving is dry it is sealed using a High density solid sealer. For driveways with steep gradients we can also add an Anti-Slip product to the sealer, to help make the paving safer.
- Expansion joints are checked & if required any lose mastic is replaced.
